One of our most favorite houses in Santa Clara. It is definitely one of the very view large finca villas build on a parcel of around the 5000m2 and it even offers some views to the sea from the terrace in front of the house and from certain areas on the 1st floor as well!
This incredibly well maintained house is in an immaculate state and has a total built area of 654m2 and that includes the 122m2 solarium on the 1st floor.
Groundfloor - Living floor:
The house is basically distributed on the living floor level where you have a very large hall or entrance into the house of around 64m2 with two large stairways on each side of the building to the 1st floor. The entrance and living of the property are huge and very airy and paved with beautiful marble terracotta floors with a large white marble star insert at the entrance of the property. The living has again a large and wide fireplace of 4m wide. The living and the entrance dictate the size of the building, we can call it genuinely 'grande' and they feel like a ballroom, but without the feel that you are lost. The rooms breath space and air and are flooded with natural light coming in from the various large windows on all sides of the building. This is one of the view houses out there being very spacious without being too 'cold', the house has a lot of character and has cozy vibes, which is rare to find. Both the living and entrance are very spacious and cover 150m2 in total! Needless to say that there are various seating areas and the hallway has been kept empty to maintain the spacious wow factor of the property, but would perfectly suitable to place a concert size grand piano!
Groundfloor - Bedroom and office, Kitchen, Bodega and storages:
On that same level we find a large bedroom en suite with walk in closed and office space. This space is currently used as full office, but can be used as master bedroom. On the other side of the hallway and entrance you find the very well equipped large Arguti kitchen with Gagganau appliances. This is a true living kitchen with direct access to the terraces in front and at the side of the house, which is very convenient. The kitchen is large enough to put a large table and plenty of chairs to host great dinner parties. At the back of the kitchen you find the bodega and storage, another large storage or small office and a second kitchen with again a storage at the backside. All on the same level and the main storage and second kitchen are accessible from the backside of the house and the front terrace as well.
Other side of the house - separate independent apartment:
When we cross the terrace in front of the house, over the Venetian style bridge spanning from the sides of the pool, with water feature, we arrive at the other side of the house where you will find a very private wing with a separate independent apartment with 2 extra 15m2 size bedrooms en suite with a small living room and chimney. People can stay here away from the main house and have their own lives without disturbing the people in the main house.
Pool area:
The pool sits in the center of the house in the middle of the front terrace and is again large and has a shape of a clover with 3 leaves. Its a salt water pool with waterfall at the back. 2 large lions at each side protect unwanted intruders! From the terrace on the left side of the entrance you will find a BBQ and from that position you do enjoy some sea views, which is something you don't expect because the garden is very lush and green.
Large bedrooms on the first floor:
Going from the entrance, taking one of the large castle like stairs up to the 1st floor, we find 2 large 23m2+ bedrooms, again en-suite with gold plated tabs, marble tops and renewed showers and baths. The master bathroom has a double vanity setup with toilet and large bath. The master has its own almost cute balcony which is perfectly suitable to enjoy your first morning espresso.
Independent Yoga studio / third bedroom:
Then we can cross the building to the other side through the side door of the 2nd bedroom and we arrive on a 122m2 solarium and it gives access to a 16m2 bedroom or function room, where you can do yoga or built a small gym. You may extend that space with a bathroom and or second bedroom. This part of the house is also suitable to extend with extra bedrooms and bathrooms, there is a project available which shows how you could potentially do that and gives a guideline what costs can be involved.
Sauna building:
When we leave the solarium via spiral stairs at the frontside of that part of the building, we arrive in a separate garden building which is equipped with a full size new sauna for the whole family, with showers, toilet and separate small kitchen. That building has a very cosy covered terrace overgrown with plants and again this is a joy to sit and relax after a good warm sauna!
The garden & Garages:
The garden is covered with special very durable golf grass and it has various large plants and trees from different parts of the world incorporated in the landscape. Also there is a closed garage for 2 cars and a covered carport for 3 cars available on the plot again away from the house so visitors are not disturbed by people parking or driving away. Last and not least the house is fully fenced and gated and accessible through an electric gate. The house was subject to a complete reform throughout 5 years, doing the landscaping of the garden, the irrigation system, pavement of the entrance and gravel areas around the house including the fence of the terrace. All buildings have been painted in the current colours, but can be changed if ones desire.
EQUIPEMENT:
In general the house is very spacious with large bedrooms and bathrooms some of them having gold plated tabs and renewed showers. The house is equipped with in total 3 kitchens of which 2 in the main house and one in the sauna building on the other side of the house. The main kitchen is very well equipped with for example a double oven and Gaggenau appliances. The property has been properly isolated and has its own private well and water deposit place under the terrace, which is used to irrigate the garden. The pool is large and salt water and the house has been extended with the construction of the sauna and relax area in 2015. As well in this year they have added a small park in the lower part of the garden with a Childs playground and artificial grass. The current state of the house is immaculate and there is no money spared to keep it that way. Its a authentic but warm property with good amount of character. The owners have said that Madonna also owned the property as it was given to her as a payment for one of her concerts which she has given in Europe!
ZONE:
The property is located in the hearth of Santa Clara, the last urbanization of Altea and one of the most prestigious ones, with plenty of villas giving a tranquil and residential feel to it. The urbanization is characterized as being very green and relatively flat with good sized plots. This house has definitely one of the largest plots with 5000m2, it is around 5min away from Altea La Vella, around 10min drive to the beach in Altea and within 45 min you should be able to reach the Alicante international airport. Nearest golf is 15 min drive away, the Don Cayo Golf and Poniente beach is reachable within the 30 min as well as the largest shopping center of the Costa Blanca Norte 'La Marina'.
